The designed complex is located in an area with a rich geological, natural and anthropogenic history. On the terrace formed by the glacier, the prehistoric riverbed of the Neris flowed in its time, so the area still has small hills, water ponds and, unfortunately, very few green areas. Therefore, in the development of residential areas, it is extremely vital to offer qualities that enrich the quality of the existing environment. One of the most important aspects was the creation of a safe green space for the quarter community and its integration into the wider system of public spaces (pedestrian streets, square, park) \u2013 GREEN HILL COURTYARD complex.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The most important actions that form the architectural expression: the complex is created as a closed type space, inside which a green yard is formed and its continuation is a building – a mountain. The main volumes of residential buildings forming the perimeter of the plot are L-shaped The rotation of the volumes in relation to each other creates the main architectural-spatial composition and forms different types of spaces – the courtyard space is divided into three separate ones, creating a public plaza space in front of the high-rise building in the east. The western fa\u00e7ade of the building hill is being developed as a formant of the inner space of the quarter, therefore it is maximally divided, creating a transition to smaller-scale structures possible in the nearby plots Residents\u2019 courtyards are raised from street level over one floor and planted (accessed through stairwells). Shared lounges are designed so that even from the street the courtyard is visible – thus preserving the continuity of the space. Highlighting the external and internal differences, the facades of the buildings are created differently: the street facades are covered with wood, has narrower windows while the courtyard facades are formed by balconies and loggias, which overlook the courtyard hill and \u0160e\u0161kin\u0117 slopes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
